Collecting up your eggs into baskets.

website marketing Collecting up your eggs into baskets.

We’re going to give you a divergent study-trail here. The nuts-and-bolts method of getting viewers to turn into subscribers is accomplished by using something called a sequential autoresponder, which collects and aggregates email lists for you.

Essentially, you set up a series of emails to go out to people who subscribe to your mailing list. They get these on a regular basis which you set (that’s the sequential part). Once the person opts-in to  your email list, the program simply sends these messages out to them (the auto-responder).

And I’ll sometime compiled a nice little ebook that covers the in’s and out’s of running such an autoresponder to build your mailing list. (There’s some nice PLR on this out there…)

If you want to get the quick gen on how to run and set up and autoresponder, simply visit GetResponse or Aweber and utilize their tutorials.

The sequence of getting people to opt-in to your mail list is really the same as getting them to come visit your site: you are routinely giving out valuable content and they trust you. So they want to know more about you. Simply telling them that you have a free ebook available or a mini-course they can take online will get them to opt-in.

These mini-courses and freebies are simply the extreme open end of your sales funnel. They haven’t become loyal clients yet, but have taken the first step.

Your mailing lists allow you to personalize communications to those lists, or send out mini-broadcasts which are more specifically targeted to certain classes of individuals on that mail list.

Those offers then bring them to another, increased-value offering. And you will probably give them the option to exchange for it.

A point of how many baskets you will need. The open end of your funnel should have multiple freebies, all of which contain incredible value – something that would be worth quite a bit if they had to buy it. The reason is to build trust. People will bounce around in these entry-level offerings for quite awhile before they finally take a bite at a paid service or product.

And where that product is also of incredible value, you’ll be able to offer them a continuing series of paid-for products, which can start escalating in price.  A key goal (outside of helping them improve their lives) is to enable them to buy every one of your products, which helps you keep offering them – this pays your own operating costs, which includes personal living expenses.
